So.... I have not been good at all about updating our blog..... In truth I actually forgot about it....
So I will give a really big update of what we have been doing over the past few months.
Kevin now works at JJ's Bakery for those of you who didn't know. He is the production manager. And he makes awesome pastries there!!! Also they work around his school schedule which is really nice. He works from 4pm to 12 or 1am... Which is the downside to him working there.
I went to girl's camp this year as assistant camp director. It is the first time I have been away from Hayden. It was really hard and I missed him and Kevin, but it was also lots of fun with the girls.
Shortly after I came home from camp we left for Jamaica. We went with Kevin's family. The hotel that his mom found was amazing and had an awesome staff. Everyone was really friendly there. It was very hot there, you would be sweating within minutes of leaving your room. Hayden seemed to attract all the little girls there. You couldn't go anywhere without people offering you drugs. The beaches there were very pretty, with calm water. We were able to go to church while we were there and meet the awesome members that live there, though our group doubled the size of their congregation. It was great to just get away and have a vacation. It was an awesome experience and we are so grateful to Kevin's parents for making it happen.
The 24th of July we went to my mom and dads to light fireworks. Hayden didn't much care for them. He was sitting with my mom and dad on the grass while we were lighting them off. He then told them that he doesn't like 'faggots'.... my parents we shocked. Come to find out he was saying fireworks and it just sounded like faggot. Though he did enjoy them a little later on.
My cousin Austin was married in the Salt Lake Temple on Aug. 6th. Which was pretty fun. Now I'm not the only married cousin on my dad's side.
My Grandma and Grandpa Harward celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14th. We decided to throw a surprise party for them. And also get family pictures and grandkid pictures to decorate her wall with... since I think the last grandkid picture we did was when adam was small. She is not an easy person to keep things from. I felt so bad for my aunt Jodi that lives with her, keeping the secret could not be easy. But we did succeed, we also made a slideshow for them of their past 50 years (or what we could find of it in pictures). With messages from each of the kids, grandkids, and great grandkid. Just for fun so that my brother who is on a mission could "be there" for it we bought a cardboard cut out and taped a picture of his face to it. And now everytime I'm at my grandmas house it scares the crap out of me....
I celebrated my 22nd birthday this year. My little sister Lydia had her 7th birthday. She asked me if I felt old... And yes I do feel old compared to her. Kevin did make an awesome looking birthday cake for Lydia and me to share... sadly I didn't get any pictures of it. But he did have a picture of one that looked like it.

Hayden has been potty trained since Aug. 10th. And luckily has had no accidents. While at home he does it all by himself. And tells me very firmly to 'go over there' while he does his business. He is very proud of himself for going on the potty and does little self celebrations for it everytime he goes.
Other than that our summer has been filled with Kevin working and going to school. And I have been busy with vinyl and tshirts. Hayden has just been himself hanging out with his aunt lydia and uncle adam most days.
Now that school has started Kevin is doing some pretty fun stuff in class. And Hayden is rather bored during the day with no one to play with.

We are doing great and we hope all of you are too!

sunburns, croup, and ear infections.... oh my
What a long week we are in for....
Yesterday we found out that Hayden has a double ear infection and croup. My poor little boy started a fever on Monday and Tylenol wouldn't touch it. At the doctor's he was running a temp of 101. And here I was thinking he was getting better after his full head infection (ear, sinus, eyes, nose, and throat infection) that he had 2 weeks ago....
But through it all he has not complained once!!! He has been put on a high dose of amoxicillin. We were warned that it will give him an upset stomach and massive diarrhea. Well this morning I was not prepared when Hayden threw up on me 3 times.....
The up side to all of this is that I get tons of cuddles from Hayden because all he wants to do is lay there. I would love it all the more if I wasn't sunburned from boating. But I still love the cuddles. And it is worth it all to get pictures of him falling asleep like that on his couch. Well here is to long nights ahead!!!

Boating at Yuba
So my mom was complaining the other day that I never update my blog, which is true.
So I decided to update....
My parents bought a boat a couple of weeks ago. We used to have one, but then we sold it. So it has been some time since we have gone out boating. Friday we headed out to Yuba lake. It is 14 miles past Nephi. It is a really pretty lake that they drained and redid the beaches on it a couple years ago.
This was Hayden's first time in a boat. He has been constantly wanting to get in the boat or "rocket" and he calls it. Well he finally got his chance. We arrived at about 4 pm and were a little concerned that there were no boats on the water. It was cloudy overhead and the water was a little choppy. One of my mom's wishes on the way down was that there only be 2 boats on the water and us be one of them. Well she got her wish. We saw other boats but none of them stuck around, it was like we had the whole lake to ourselves.
As we got out on the water I wasn't sure how Hayden would react. But I had little to worry about! He loved it!!!
After cruising around for a few minutes we decided to break out the tube. Adam and I road on it for its maiden voyage. It was awesome!!!!
Hayden even road in the tube. He was having fun but was done after a few because it was cold.
Hayden was taking a break hanging out in a little overhang under the glove box.
My Dad, and our crazy driver. It was thanks to him taking us that we had an awesome time!!!
To end our fun day my crazy brother Adam tried to water ski in the COLD water. Adam succeed in getting up a couple of times. He is one tough kid.
We had an awesome time!!! Although we didn't get home till 11pm it was worth it. Thank you Mom and Dad for taking Hayden and Me!!!!!!

Competition
Kevin, this last Saturday, competed in the Spring Home & Garden black box competition. He has been working really hard on this to do well at it. (even though he gets nothing out of it other than experience)
Saturday rolls around and he is out the door early, having to go to school and prep. They competed at around 3pm. Now in black box competitions they receive secret ingredients that they have to use in all of their dishes, they had no idea what they were before hand. For this one they had to use peanut butter, figs, and cream cheese. Yummy right? If I was given those I would have no idea what to do with them.
So Kevin got to work doing what he does best, cooking! After making all of the stuff within a time limit, their food was judged. And much to Kevin's surprise.... THEY WON!!! Kevin and Amanda won the black box competition!! HE was so happy and surprised. His menu was:
appetizer- tomato salad with cream cheese balsamic vinaigrette and an apple fig salad with peanut butter sauce
main dish- sweet potato peanut butter pasta, in a cream cheese shallot sauce; pork scallop; sauteed Brussel sprouts, figs, and pecans
Dessert- Apple fritter; Carmel fig sauce, peanut butter chocolate sauce, and an orange cream cheese frosting napoleon (sort of like an Oreo)
The judges really like his fresh pasta that he made on the spot. He has another competition coming up on the 26th of March for a state competition! We are hoping he does well.

Hayden is now 2!!!
This is a little late being posted....
But Hayden is now officially in the terrible twos.... He was already throwing the tantrums for it.
We celebrated his birthday on Sunday with a last minute party. My mom was making dinner for my grandma, (she had surgery on her hand, and it is still healing) and everyone was wondering what I was going to do for Hayden's birthday.... I had no idea what I wanted to do. I had been sick all week and didn't really have a lot of energy to do anything. But it was pointed out to me that I needed to do something for him. I decided to do a last minute party at my grandma Harward's house.
Hayden had a blast and actually ate some chicken noodle soup. (we didn't have to force him to try some!) My aunt's on my mom's side came and gave Hayden gifts. We had brought some of the gifts Hayden had gotten that morning. We played baseball and soccer in the backyard as well as played with his new bubble machine. (the bubble machine is a lifesaver for me and kevin.... we are done blowing bubbles for Hayden long before he is...)
Hopefully it was fun for him... I know it was tiring for me. =)
Yes he really is faking in this video.....

Hayden will be 2 on Sunday!!!
I can not believe how fast time flies! Hayden will be 2 on Sunday! It feels like it was just yesterday that I was coming home from the hospital with him.
It has been a rather bad week for us. Hayden and I have both been sick all week. And Kevin has been sick for some of the week. But on Tuesday I convinced myself that I was well enough to be out and about. So I went shopping for the young women's activity I was in charge of and also for Hayden's birthday present.
We have been having a hard time deciding what Hayden need/wanted for his birthday. We don't have a lot of room and his toys take up a lot of space as it is. We talked it over and decided Hayden would like a pet. But we have been told no on a dog....(so sad) So we went for fish. Easy to take care of and can fit somewhere in our small space.
On Tuesday we bought the tank and supplies. And on Wednesday Hayden and I went to get some fish. We had tons of fish to choose from.... but we finally found the perfect ones for Hayden. They are called mickey mouse fish. I didn't realize until we got home why they have that name. On their tails there is the mickey mouse head and ears.
Hayden has been delighted since we have gotten them. He feeds them in the morning and right before going to bed. He even gives them kisses goodnight. He named them Mickey and Minnie. I had made a vinyl mickey mouse for him and found the perfect place to put it, right on his fish tank.
Here is a video of Hayden with them.
Other news Kevin is going to compete in a black box competition tomorrow. He is really looking forward to it. I hope he does well!
